This incredible deodorant is the EXACT SAME formula as the original Smarty Pits Natural Deodorant. With Stacia’s (the original formulator/owner) blessing, we are thrilled to call ours SMARTY PITZ. We have Regular Strength with Baking Soda, and Sensitive Strength with Magnesium.
Both versions deliver on their promise every single time!
Your sweat is naturally odorless. But odor-causing bacteria on the skin thrive on that sweat and metabolize it, leading to smelly pits!
The ingredients in Smarty Pitz work to counter that. First, a blend of vegetable-based powders and oils helps absorb and wick away moisture, creating a moisturizing barrier that separates it from your skin. Secondly, mineral ingredients such as magnesium and baking soda neutralize the environment where odor-causing bacteria thrive. Next, prebiotics (plant-based food for good bacteria) contribute to the biodiversity and strength of your skin microbiome. The result is all-day odor control with just one application.
We suggest 2-3 easy swipes max in various directions for full coverage. No need to overuse it!

I used the original Smarty Pits deodorant for many years, and nothing else worked as well. When it disappeared, I tried many natural deodorant brands, but none kept me as dry; I noticed more underarm wetness and damp spots on my shirts.
I first ordered the Baby Powder scent of the newly rebranded Smarty Pitz, but it was too fragrant for me. Thanks to Scrubz for letting me swap the unused sticks for the unscented version.
I’m finding that the baking soda–free formula actually gives me the driest feeling under my arms. I’m not sure why this particular ingredient mix works so well, but it feels just like I remember the original product performing.

I too have loved smartypits and was also sad they went out of business. I stocked up on several of them when I could find one, and STILL HAVE THEM! I’ve used other natural types but mainly just to make my smartypits last forever (kinda, lol). Glad to hear “Stacia” has started making the smartypitz type now, but that makes me wonder why did she have to change the name using a Z instead of the S?

Hi John, I’m so sorry I forgot to answer this earlier. Our ScrubzBody Product line uses a “Z” on all our product names: Facez, Shavez, Lipz, Scrubz, Handz and so on, so when Stacia started making the deodorant for me, she does at “private label”, meaning her recipe, ingredients and everything the same EXCEPT the name. I called mine Smarty Pitz for 2 reasons, one to keep it in the “z” family of our names and as an homage to the original which I sold in my shop for 8 years before the business closed. I was thrilled she said yes to making the sticks so it was a win/win for Stacia, her original customers, my customers who loved it too and of course, myself!

BEST NATURAL DEODORANT EVER! I randomly grabbed a Smarty Pits off the deodorant shelf at TJ Maxx a few years ago and couldn’t believe how it worked 100%, even on the hottest days!!!! I’ve literally tried about every single aluminum free deodorant on the market and nothing works like this! It must be the baking soda? I’ve tried other deodorants with baking soda that will eventually irritate my skin/pH? But not Smarty Pits/AKA/Smarty Pitz!! This recipe is perfect, please never change it!!!!

This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE deodorant! I was SO upset when I was no longer able to get them from the store but am SO BEYOND ELATED that I can find them here now (: this is my third shipment of smartypits and noticed it didn’t have a review which I couldn’t help but need to change!
